You got to hand it to INEOS, on the day they hit a new top speed they to go to the trouble of providing the only proof needed to validate the claim

If I was working on Ineos I would like to get those foils in some waves now to compare reality with their predicted preformance in waves based on the data they now have. Swell direction and size relative to local wind conditions are also going to play a big part on who wins. Everybody looks fast in flat water.

There have been several videos of them in waves

Anybody got some decent pictures of TNZ yellow topped mainsail. Especially the head and batten ends. Any showing it inverted would be good to. The recon footage is not clear enough to work anything out.

Apparent upgrades to, ARBR AC75.
I noticed this pic earlier today, does it look a little disjointed or am I misunderstanding?

The shiny foil arm covers are not structural, the meat holding it all together is hidden underneath.
Go back to the (AC75) destruction testing videos or assembly photos if you have forgotten how the raw foil arms look and attach

Hey Mozzy, if you need help, I'd be happy to do it. I wrote a bunch of algorithms when we analyzed tracks from the last AC. I could get total distance and maybe filter the data to certain speeds to approximate data while sailing.
If anyone has the time to stick all this data into a large .csv file format with columns as variables and rows as time slices I have software that can take it, clean it up and find any patterns there. If that goes well it is then easy to make a predictive model that could tell you the vmg for any set of variables inputted.

I think the difficulty will be that the GPS data is from the recon chase boat. So, there will be a lot of anomalies.

I think what we should be able to get is 'productive time on water', rather than just time on water with a bit of speed filtering

Do the teams get any supplementary data, like when the recon team think they are tracking at the same speed as the boat, or are they as much in the dark?
