Cup Spy - May 24: Robertson joins the Swiss? Teams step up match racing practice.
Four teams sailed on Wednesday, May 24 from Auckland, Mallorca, and Cagliari. Alinghi Red Bull Racing christened their new AC40-7, and took it for a tow-test off Barcelona. Top Match Racer and SailGP helm, Phil Robertson (NZL) was again present.

Cup Spy - May 27: Emotional reunion for Luna Rossa. Kiwi session marred by breakdown
The Italian team planned an emotional reunion at sea with the Amerigo Vespecci, sail training ship of the Italian navy Emirates Team New Zealand did some damage believed to be electronic related, and the session stopped early.

Cup Spy - May 29-30: Light airs for Swiss and Kiwis. Arbitration Panel dismisses US claim
Alinghi Red Bull Racing and Emirates Team New Zealand were the only Cup teams to train on Monday and Tuesday. The Arbitration Panel has dismissed American Magic's application to be excused from competition in Jeddah at the end of November.

Cup Spy - May 31: Brits program moves up a gear - start two boat racing
INEOS Britannia sailed two boats for the first time in this cycle. They pitted their One Design AC40, against their 40ft Test Boat. It was an interesting battle fully described in this edition. The Kiwis continued their two boat matchracing off Takapuna.
Alinghi quietly working on their own ideas have come out of the shadows with a new concept. Is it enough to make @alinghiredbullracing8029 a dark horse favourite amongst the returning Challengers for AC37?

I know, but as I said in other thread, it would be hard to eliminate the impact of the other side. And why not just do a foil mod. You are allowed any number of those and then can test with and without more effectively

Exactly. For the cost of 1 foil of your allocation, the half / half foil idea is good for taking video of flow over the inboard or outboard half BUT not great for measuring drag or leeway or lift because you can't eliminate one half or the other.

The report is quite confusing, it started by saying that Ernesto/Dean was on AC40-7 OD, then further into the article, Ernesto/Dean was racing on the AC40-4 LEQ12.
