Holy shit ... tens of thousands of Persian women have cut their hair and are openly demonstrating without head coverings in Iranian mass protests over the sharia execution of Mahda Amini for not wearing a head scarf.

The security forces are apparently overwhelmed. All over the news. Maybe this is the opening round to an Iranian secular revolution that the Fucking Royal Family and British Petroleum and Operation Ajax killed about 70 years ago?

Her death sparked protests in the capital and western Iran, where two people were reportedly killed in clashes with riot police on Monday..

Yeah, they can't run money through this, like they can with wars and a deceased royal. As @El Borracho points out, once they get a whiff of grabbing their oil it will be Reverse Operation Ajax.

As for Ajax, Eisenhower rejected Churchill (as proxy for the Royals) twice. It wasn't until the Dulles Brothers levered us in that we were complicit with that shitshow. Now, ironically, the news outlets are covering the queen's coffin and mostly ignoring this.

Right now there are thousands of Persian women OPENLY protesting Sharia law under penalty of death in the streets and in social media. This makes every previous Iranian protest seem lightweight in comparison. You won't see much of this in Facebook and YouTube, they bury it as best they can for their investors until it is no longer ignorable.

It's usually not YouTube itself, but interested parties gaming the reporting system and ToS. There are even tools available to make it easier.

As far as I know, they don't take it down. But the ranking system on YouTube, Instragram and Twitter is apparently not agnostic to advertising, so we often will not see the videos that get buried under an avalanche of fluff. If you search "Iran Protest" on YouTube or Twitter for instance, you will get the videos. But I didn't see any of them on my home pages.

On the other hand, Chinese-owned Tik Tok uses a more agnostic, metric-driven algorithm that will feed this news.

But Google ... unless you hit the "news" tab, you won't see much related to the Mahsa Amini protests, as noted here by @Bugsy . Never underestimate the damage that can be caused by one pissed-off woman, let alone a few hundred thousand pissed-off women, many of whom are openly cutting their hair in protest, burning their hajibs, and now posting videos of themselves in cocktail dresses and even going out in public without head coverings. This isn't akin to a bunch of hippies burning their bras on the quad of some college somewhere, these women risk prison sentences and execution for their protests:

Definitely. We don't seem to get the worst of it in our news for some reason, but Amnesty International reports some really worrying tactics by their security forces on feminists, Kurds, Jews, Sufis, LGBTQ and union activists.
