Ive got a wooden boat magazine from about 1995. Has a great article about Brilliant  Ive been in love ever since.

I remember being under full sail with the gollywobbler up....   that ship just sliced through the waves and steering was a breeze..

Yeah...went to that particular nightclub quite a bit back in the 80's...Clipper Cup....and yeah....horrific internal injuries were sustained...lucky to have survived...  ;-)

nice. I had thought that (rogue) wave theory was all settled - but far from it. Somebody mentioned quantum physics above, and yes, given that Schrodinger steps in that does seem relevant..

not rogue waves, but still pretty big - 16 meter significant wave height W of Ireland this weekend and into next week..,

that's  ~52.5ft..., and more than 1/10 waves will be bigger than that...
