Yeah, but still no guidance on how to predict it or what conditions should be avoided. Also no discussion of current, which I find odd.

The ocean is a scary place.

Look at the drop off about 100 meters ahead. Imagine finding that at night and not seeing it. Photos like this scare the shit out of me.

This is a very old photo and it is not a fake. I lifted it from the Fuji Sailing website ages ago because it showed the confused sea and the very fast tri.

not rogue waves, but still pretty big - 16 meter significant wave height W of Ireland this weekend and into next week..,

that's  ~52.5ft..., and more than 1/10 waves will be bigger than that...
