Who we got in the battle between Comanche and Skorpios? Comanche took round 1. Can Skorpios get it back.?
My money is on Skorpios. Only reason Comanche won round 1 was because they had the advantage of Skorpios showing them where the hole was. Those were Comanche conditions I would think too. Either boat can take line honors though and that's exciting.

Yeah I think you make a good point. Skorpios was leading and they were definitely Comanche conditions. I think Comanche would surf earlier and she was built for those conditions. If the conditions include upwind, light, medium heavy etc, Skorpios should be able to utilize her length advantage. Comanche however has the advantage of being well sorted now and is something like a version 3-4 boat whereas Skorpios is still version 1. Fascinating race coming up.

Skorpios just crossed from Lanzarote to Antigua in 6 days 7 hours - 3120 nm at an average of 20.6 knots

Comanche's recent Trans-At race record was 7 days 22 hours with a distance sailed shown on the tracker of 3063nm. That's an average speed of 16.1 knots.

This weekend should definitely be interesting.

Were they in race mode.? (Not delivery) I saw the photo you posted in Clubswan 125 and it looked like she was fully lit up.

From what I understand, and from what the photos show, they were in '80% mode' - lit up but not fully crewed with constant trimming. This photo is pretty low-res but can you see there are 7 people on deck looking pretty relaxed, especially the guy chilling on the sail stack...

Why "les" desirade ? There is just one island . LA Desirade , its enough
The first land discovered by Christopher Columbus during his second voyage on November 2, 1493, La Désirade is a tiny island shaped like the upside-down keel of a canoe, located east of Grande-Terre along the Pointe des Châteaux. Timeless La Désirade moves to the rhythm of the waves; nothing seems to disturb its peaceful atmosphere!

The island owes its name to the relief felt by the members of Columbus’s crew, who – upon glimpsing their first dry land since leaving the Canary Islands 21 days earlier – cried out, “Oh, island we so desire!”

Hey anarchists,

Race started a few hours ago on regattagame.net, check SR 22WinT#7 race with the demo boat or register to sail your own boat, you can still jump out of the pilot boat ;)
