Was wondering if Powerplay might have made a bit of a boo boo going close to the island, but Argo and Maserati seem to have slowed considerably.

The Multi/Mod 70's have parked up just of Basse Terre at the bottom of the island and it's light all the way around so big chance for a race restart. Same thing will happen for Skorpios and Comanche unless the breeze picks up in a few hours time?

Yowzers they really have parked up. Powerplay 0.8 knots Argo 2.4 and Maserati 1.9 not that long ago doing 20+

Yeah poor Powerplay they are parked up while others are doing 25 Knots. That's going to hurt their chances I would have thought. (Unless there is another big park up somewhere)

I do wonder if Powerplay are carrying some damage after their start line boner, but they aren't sailing well at the mo it looks like. But could the race records in mono and multi be broken? It could be a close run thing.

Sneaking down that shore line is a risky move - that must hurt watching the other two pull away. There isn't typically another park-up zone after this point unless you make a fuck-up at the remaining turning marks.

Maserati and Argo are now giving the 2019 record a good nudge...

Now Skorpios has put the brakes on whilst Comanche piles in from behind - puckery bum holes on both boats.

The monohull record tracker suggests Rambler managed to make the shore line work for them and avoid a park-up - this could be make or break moment for Skorpios' chances at the record.

Rambler (The Ghost Boat) often has it's position reported nearly half an hour ahead of Skorpios and Comanche. ATM Rambler is nine mile ahead of Skorpios but also 25 minutes on time. So it's close in terms of the record and a lot will depend on how quickly Skorpios can clear this island and beat to the top. ATM Skorpios only 3 miles ahead of Comanche and Will Oxley has a habit of finding a way around Skorpios when they are in front?

Anyone else surprised by how similar the ratings are for the VO70's and VO65's?  The 65's are in the middle of the range for the 70's.  I thought the 65's were dogs and the 70's were all that.  But right now we have a 65, 70, and heavily modded 70 with foils all battling for the lead.

So Argo wins multi line honors, Maserati wins MOCRA. Less than a minute apart after 600 miles.
