Pretty broad brush.

I went to high school in Alabama. I'm FB friends with several former teachers and fellow students. All seem pretty appalled.
Will they do anything about it?
Well, they seem to be planning to vote. They're also speaking about it. Well, they're doing it on FB, so using corporate money to do it, so they might be $peaking about it. And it is close to an election, so that might be bad. Unless FB is a pre$$ corporation.

It was not dispicable to vote for a candidate that consorted with terrorists, bogots, racists and murderers(Ayres, Wright, Frohme)? Glass houses and all, eh...........

As I’ve pointed out many times, Scalia advocated for State (not federal) religion.
You might want to change that to Thomas, since Scalia didn't join that part of his opinion in Greece v Galloway

I'm a fan of Thomas' opinions on various subjects but not that one. Mainly because Pennsylvania.

We had state religions in the founding era.

Members of the founding generation actually knew legislators, judges, and governors who used the power of the state to impose religious conditions intended to limit citizens’ access to political bodies, public spaces, and programs. The community’s culture-forming institutions, such as schools, churches, and charities, were also expected to toe the “establishment” line.

In Pennsylvania, whose religious freedom at the time of the Founding was both a point of civic pride and one reason it was described as “an asylum for banished sects,” these abuses were well known. They even had a name: “[E]ngines of a ruling party [designed] to entrap and punish such people as they suppose inimical to themselves.”

Tell me Mr. Bird...... How do you feel about the situation in Puerto Rico right now?

Still over half the island has no power or potable water. Over 1,000 deaths are attributed to Hurricane Maria, and yet nothing is said, or apparently done by this God loving Humanitarian president of ours, nor his staff.... Are we to think that he cares more about the white citizens of Alabama than the brown ones of PR?

The island did not cooperate. Local politics.
