I hear both newscasters saying the same words at roughly the same time. I can't understand a word either, it's in Russian. It’s all pops and buzzes here, can’t understand a word.
I disagree. Wars are temporary and short term and people no matter how loved, are temporary.Forest fires are now burning out of control in Siberia. In different circumstances, other countries might have volunteered firefighters and equipment to help Russia. Not anymore.
A Canadian forest scientist was interviewed by CBC today about the fires in Siberia, which are more extensive and further north than ever and causing huge amounts of carbon to be released into the atmosphere. When asked whether the world should try to help she said "I'm more worried about the children in Ukraine than about forests in Russia" even though they are her life's work.
I wonder if this is how it ends; similar to WW1 when the Russian Army pretty much just dissolved in place and the soldiers joined in the tremendous civil upheaval of the Revolution.
I wonder what the red duct tape on their thighs signifies??
Got a picture? I know the Russians in Ukraine have white bands, and the Ukrainians have blue or yellow so you know who you are trying to kill without getting close enough to see their ID patch.Dunno. Can't even think of a good reason... hold their catheter tubes in place?
