@TimothyDSnyder: In April 2016, I broke the story of Trump and Putin, using Russian open sources. Afterwards, I heard vague intimations that something was awry in the FBI in New York, specifically counter-intelligen...…threadreaderapp.com
In case you’re confused, the Jan 6 Commission already showed that some of the GOPs house leaders assisted in our ex-prez’s attempts to do just that. You're welcome to his opinion. I assume that other countries are always trying to influence the American electorate to their benefit, that's a given. It becomes legally problematic when an American politician colludes with such a foreign government. That is of course is why we had the Mueller investigation.
What's even more problematic than politicians who collude with foreign governments, however, is politicians who collude with our own government and agencies of our own government that use their power to influence elections. Here's hoping the new Republican led house do something about that.
When did objecting to the certification of an election become a problem? In case you’re confused, the Jan 6 Commission already showed that some of the GOPs house leaders assisted in our ex-prez’s attempts to do just that.
Trump had state officials filing false slates of electors, he had Senators and Congressmen objecting to certified votes and he tried to threaten and cajole the Georgia AG to go along with his schemes during a phone call you can read a transcript of. He nearly decapitated our DOJ in service of his thirst for power.
Since you don’t care about any of these efforts, we can only conclude that you’re a complete hypocrite who supports misuse of government resources to aid your party.
Fuck your sanctimonious lecturing: you hate America and love the GOP.
Seems like a lot of Malarkey doesn’t it?Trump wanted to go to the Capitol without an invitation
At the head of a mob
While Congress was counting presidential votes
He demanded the Secret Service violate their security protocols to allow guns and knives past magnetometers because protesters weren’t there to hurt him
He did nothing while our Capitol was under siege
And @Dog still licks his hand
When it’s part of a conspiracy to defraud the nation by changing the results of a national election you traitorous bitch. When did objecting to the certification of an election become a problem?
When your ilk tried to destroy the Republic by overriding the popular vote. Objecting to and trying to overrule the will of the people of the United States isn’t cute or funny, It doesn’t make you a troll. It makes you an enemy of democracy. When did objecting to the certification of an election become a problem?
Like, stopping elections?...
What's even more problematic than politicians who collude with foreign governments, however, is politicians who collude with our own government and agencies of our own government that use their power to influence elections. Here's hoping the new Republican led house do something about that.
Wrong ... when the Republicans do it.When it’s part of a conspiracy to defraud the nation by changing the results of a national election you traitorous bitch.
Same thing.Wrong ... when the Republicans do it.
What is it when Democrats do it?Same thing.
I am unaware of Democrats being "part of a conspiracy to defraud the nation by changing the results of a national election".What is it when Democrats do it?
So far, fiction. What is it when Democrats do it?
I am unaware of Democrats being "part of a conspiracy to defraud the nation by changing the results of a national election".
Do tell.
Ah, the old "they did it first/worse/too" defense. Except, you conveniently edited out the problematic part.In 2017, Reps. Jamie Raskin, Pramila Jayapal, Barbara Lee, Sheila Jackson Lee, Raúl Grijalva, Maxine Waters, and Jim McGovern, all “conspired to defraud the nation by challenging the results of the election”. There have been other times also.
Good catch, allow me to rephrase it.Ah, the old "they did it first/worse/too" defense. Except, you conveniently edited out the problematic part.
If you will note, my request was for you to inform me of a time when Democrats were "part of a conspiracy to defraud the nation by changing the results of a national election"
Nice try (not really). Nevertheless, a fail (really).
Really? They conspired with state election officials to submit false election results? In 2017, Reps. Jamie Raskin, Pramila Jayapal, Barbara Lee, Sheila Jackson Lee, Raúl Grijalva, Maxine Waters, and Jim McGovern, all “conspired to defraud the nation by challenging the results of the election”. ...
