SAIL FOR THE CURE

Portland Oregon...September 26th...on the Columbia River between the I-5 and I-205 bridges...

Almost 100 boats, all skippered by women with crews that mix first time sailors with the most experienced...all for a good cause.

You don't need a boat and you don't have to know how to sail to be a part of this great thing. And if your group or YC is looking for a way to increase the popularity of sailing in your community, especially among women then check out the Oregon Women's Sailing Association and how they tie our sport to a worthy cause via their Sail for the Cure event.

This is the 11th year for Sail for the Cure, in support of the Komen Foundation's battle against breast cancer.

The members of the Oregon Women's Sailing Association deserve to be honored as Sailing Chicks of Every Year.

Last year, Sail for the Cure set all kinds of records for participation and for funds raised to support the battle against breast cancer. The Oregon Women's Sailing Association has done it again this year. Sunday is the 11th Annual Sail for the Cure. Check out THIS NEWS about how the event has grown.

And hey, how can this group of female sailors not be awarded Sailor Chicks of the Year, when they proudly promote their TREASURE CHESTS...check it out!
