How to make a sailboard mast radar reflective? Fill with wads of aluminum foil?
Don't bother. They are too busy to be hauling traps to be looking at radar, even though nearly everyone will have a Furuno dome.I’m hoping to be seen by Maine lobstermen in fog.
We say that, yet when I think back, the only people that ever came close to hitting me were other cruisers who were face-down in their chart plotter.Don't bother. They are too busy to be hauling traps to be looking at radar, even though nearly everyone will have a Furuno dome.
Gosh I hope you're joking.I’m hoping to be seen by Maine lobstermen in fog.
Having a Light Grey boat, cruising Penobscott in a "forestay fog", you find that people do interesting things, some will run the narrow passages on an autopilot without a lookout, and others will anchor in the channel. We say that, yet when I think back, the only people that ever came close to hitting me were other cruisers who were face-down in their chart plotter.
I'm neither in Maine or in the fog but I too hope for same thing. Strange world.I’m hoping to be seen by Maine lobstermen in fog.
Maine lobstermen travel?I'm neither in Maine or in the fog but I too hope for same thing. Strange world.
On a sailboard? That's what the OP asked about.or make sure your radar can see them, and set the alarms.
