Does anybody know the value or how I could find the value of a 1987 23’ Tanzer sailboat ? I’ve been searching for over an hour and I can’t seem to find any information on this specific sailboat

I can’t find any information on a Tanzer 23 — Tanzer made a 22, a 7.5 (24.5 ft) and a 25 (others also but these are closest to 23ft).  If this is part of someone’s estate and you’re looking for information in order to sell it, you’ll first need to verify the model.  Check the mainsail to see if there’s an insignia on it or share the Hull Identification Number (HIN) which can usually be found on the transom molded into the fiberglass. The HIN can reveal a lot of information about the boat, model, etc. Selling price for a Tanzer will come down to condition and included gear.

It's not a gold mine, although the sailboat market has had an up-swing this past year. Also, I don't think Tanzer built a "Tanzer 23." They built a 22, a 25, and 7.5 meter.

If it's in great shape, ready to go sailing this afternoon, with hardware & sails & ropes all replaced/upgraded lately, the main value in that is that it will sell readily for a price in the upper market range... a quick browse of "Tanzer 22 + sail + -for sale-" shows fifteen or so currently, $700 to $7k, with the majority in the $2,500 to $3,500 zone....

if it "needs TLC" then it's probably a give-away.

$0 on the low end and the nicest one in the world is worth about 8 times that.
Don't sugar coat it. If it's in "great project" or "needs minor cosmetic repair"  territory, then you're going to have to pay somebody to haul it away.

These boats aren't worth any money. If it still floats it would take much more than the boat is worth to bring it up to minimum safety standards.

Wet coast.
If it has an outboard, it is probably worth what the outboard is worth.  If it has a trailer, add the value of the trailer.  If the boat is in absolutely showroom condition it might fetch $1000 on top of that.   If there is any work to be done it has no market value.
