No they didn't!
Richard Gladwell confirmed in this Article that the French Team are now the fastest Sailboat on Planet Earth:

From RG:
That mark was set by the French team helmed by Quentin Delapierre on the final leg of Race 3 in front of a jubilant home crowd. According to what we have found, the top speed in San Francisco set by ETNZ in an AC72 was 48.12kts. Artemis Racing did 47.16kts in Bermuda in an AC50, and American Magic did 53.1 in Auckland in an AC75. The French AC50 is now the fastest foiler in a race, lifting the mark by almost 1kt.

American Magic had only 53.1 knot on that windy Day against LRPP in their Semifinal while the FRANCE SAIL GP TEAM had 53.963 knots.
Interesting how neither of those 'fastest boats' won, no?

Except that many of the team members are also competing in the AC , and Sail GP doesnt want to look like the 2nd class citizen with all the current best guys absent.
Yes, there was going to be turnover on many teams almost regardless AC schedule conflicts, maybe especially once the new A75s launch.

Hang on, wait a minute. Some of these announcements dont even have locations yet.
How doth this fit in with the AC schedule?
Sail GP already indicated that CANADA is likely going to host an Event in Season 4 and an Announcement about the Venue would be made in October this year. They will probably have an Event in either Halifax, Montreal or Kingston in June 2024 after the Bermuda Event in May 2024.

Be patient. I think we will see a flurry of Venue Announcements in October.

Halifax: Lovely part of the world. But as they say in Maine "You cant get thear from heaar
Montreal: Great food. Great people. Great Formula 1 track. Lousy spot for sailing foilers.
Kingston : Perfect!

I cant wait for those furry announcements.

The fastest sailboat we know of. Bearing in mind we only saw data from the AC75 during a handfull of races and arguably the slowest boat set the top speed in only windy day, I have no doubt there would have been faster speeds, they just weren’t broadcast.

Remember, the AC is about winning the cup. Sail GP is about fast drama with an emphasis on the desire for drama. Speed = drama.

line a few 75’s up on a racetrack in 20 knots of wind and there will be incredible speeds

The ocean going tri l`Hydroptere, with soft sails, achieved 52.8 knts, then averaged > 50 knots over a nautical mile in 2009.
Now that`s a fast sailboat.
You couldn`t sail a GP50 on the open sea

The AC 75 exists for one reason and one reason only.

When the Italians agreed to fund the kiwis in 2017 they set 2 conditions
1. If the Kiwis won, the Italians would be Challenger of Record for 2021
2. The Cup would return to the tradition of racing in a monohull.

Which proves the old adage "Be careful what you wish for"!

It is likely if the AC was still in AC 50's the next defense wold have been in Auckland.

But then we would never have been able to look forward to the next generation of those magnificent 75 feet beasts and the accompanying antics of the few billionaires who can fund them.
