Yes, I went to the first two ACWS regattas in the UK. Kind of fun but didn't bother with the 3rd. It's designed to be viewed on a screen.

Season 3 Championship after 8 of 11 Events

Switzerland and Spain are now mathematically eliminated from the Grand Final.
Great Britain, France and Denmark will fight over that 3rd Final Spot over the next 3 Events.
USA and Canada although not officially eliminated have IMO only a remote chance of making the Grand Final.
Australia & New Zealand have more or less qualified.

years ago I did use one, but didn't have enough need for it. Might have another look. Firefox offers one.

USA looks to be out of chance for the Top 3 come San Francisco already, it's been a rough year for them. Two OCS's this weekend sure didn't help

SUI with Nate's help had some good races, AUS is still in control so far, great to see DEN get a race win.

But NZL has the big momentum and are looking extremely impressive lately. Was also interesting to see a 'popup' communication when Ray Davies, from the shore, was able to send a comm telling them the wind was shifting slowly to the right on a beat in Race 4 (?), a newly allowed feature since an event or two ago but it's the first time I have seen any evidence of that coaching channel being used.

I think if it leads to more separation it is OK? Things happen so fast in the fleet races that I think they do need the help. It must be hard to keep track of where all the boats are and who is going to be a collision threat

kind of like the spotters or race engineers in car racing. Telling the driver of situations developing around the car but not (supposedly) telling them how to drive...

The fat lady has not started to warm up her tonsils as far as 2nd and 3rd slot. If the kiwis take their foot off the gas, GB, FRA and DEN are breathing down their neck.
