San Juan 24 polars?

I've been racing our SJ24 and trying to work out which headsails work best in various conditions in Bellingham Bay. I've searched online to no avail, has anyone run across polars for the San Juan 24?

Over there
Try Chuck Skewes at Ullman San Diego

But as I recall, it's really just shifting down to the jib when the rail's 3 or 4 inches underwater B)

On the downwind VMG chart, would you be assuming that the bow stays in front of the stern?

I believe US Sailing might have something to help with.  Check there anyway.

Confused if what you want is a polar chart, or a sail selection chart.
I dont have any real need of a sail selection chart. If the tiller loads up, the sails are too big.

I want target Boat speed and AWA for upwind and downwind in various wind speeds. They usually contain TWA & VMG also, which is not much use to me, I have minimal things that use electrons.

I have access too:
SOG & COG via handheld GPS, Boat speed via paddlewheel, AWA via Windex, TWS via Learning how to modify the Beaufort scale for use on inland waters & Heading via analog compass.

Would love a complete polar chart, just for fun & distance races maybe. But upwind/downwind targets are most usable to me racing beer cans. How can this not be easy to find on a 45yo boat that still has an active OD class?

Check Skewes has a great tuning guide, but I didn't find much else very specific to the SJ24. He has a good downwind sail guide, but again, not specific, just good learning.

Any time I see SJ24 in a thread title, I jump to conclusions about grifting, chickens, and buttery ashes...
Hurry, or you are going to miss recess......

If the Class Association doesn't have them, your next best bet is to go to the rating systems like ORR or ORC.  They have VPP packages that you can buy that will give you the metrics you need.

Still looking, I just cant believe no one has done this for the SJ24. Here is a copy of what I would like, this for the Beneteau 36.7

I always chuckle when this thread floats up. Reminds me of an Islander Bahama 24 I did a couple Weds nights on. I swear it sailed sideways as fast as it did forward. Going upwind was like one long semi controlled round up.
