The way it was explained to me is they don't have the people to run the extra class. With the Lasers, they need to run two start areas, and they don't feel they have the personnel.

Also was told (by a member - don't shoot the messenger) that they can't do PHRF scoring too well and haven't for a long time.

Skippers who normally rely on pros to make every decision, rule interpretation, turn of the wheel should not be allowed to leave the harbor without same.

Last night was a good example of this as da Doc blatently fouled the SC 52, not once but twice. A port starboard situation which put both crews in jeporady when she froze at the wheel and the SC had to react quickly. Flags were flow, protest, request to do her circles but she blissfully sailed on only to foul the same boat at the weather mark in the 3 boat length circle. Clueless.

Thank God we all made it to the bar safely. :unsure:

Some hearty souls did the Bugay single handed race yesterday, around an oil rig. First place was Thomas Turnbill in his J/24, second Brian Green in a J/22 and third was Helen Webb in a Harbor 20. (Oil rig race in a Harbor 20? You got guts girl).

Went for a nice ride on the J145 today. 9-11 knots with totally flat sea conditions. Nice and relaxing. JP,Repete,Myself, Sam, Carolyn, and several six packs of beer :)

Looks like the penultimate Wet Weds is going to be just that as a huge rain storm is predicted. With the sunset rule in place the A fleet will have 60 minutes to complete the race and the J/24 fleet only 40 minutes. It could be a big night for the bar. Ultimate bar bill is in the works for many of us!

Haven't heard Max yelling the word Purple in awhile. WHATSUPP?

And the reasoning behind this post? It seems like somebody has been spending a little too much time on SA. I would be more concerned that Rush Limbaugh wants to buy a football team. I heard he's now getting a Farr 40. Don't bring a toothpick to verbal jousting contest.
