Congratulations to the Newport Harbor YC women's team for their victory in Long Beach last weekend. Six teams competed in the annual Linda Elias Memorial Women's One Design.

It's time to get the SBYC team back for this event. Always challenging and fun. And Sue I agree it would be nice to do it in a sprit boat for a change. Those Cat 37's are getting old.

Great to see Mike Campbell's memory honored with all the SoCal Farr's attending. Congrats to the Far Niente group with ex-Ventuckian, Jeff Thorpe, calling the shots.

Yes it's great to see Frederic win. I think this is his first regatta victory. Such a sweet guy. There were also 9 sleds in attendance the winner in that class Brack Duker on Holua.

Sweet little Paul Harteck took first place in the Green Fleet, his very first regatta! That is so excellent. We are all proud of you Paul.

Many thanks to all the volunteers who worked to make this an excellent event, especially Kent and Jeanene. :)

to be fair there was also a j105 coach boat in the inner harbor, and loads of coach boats on the ocean course

Duh Pete. There are always a ton of 8 and 10 foot rubber "coach boats" at these events. Please note that this does not look like one of them

Enema Gay,

So saying someone has a big boat is a bad thing?

Jeez, you never have anything half way intelligent to say.

Check your glue source.

Put on a happy face. :)

Try not to be a moron AND a dickhead.

Corky Otis, long time icon at SBYC and Commodore in 1978 passed today. Condolences to son Jeff and the extended family. Corky leaves a legacy of racing on the Adios and is probably already rigging up with his long time pals Pinky and Stan who have a head start on the racing in Heaven series. They are probably already arguing about who will drive. He will be missed.
