Yeah, they do have serial numbers. Now verified. The numbers are tiny. One is not supposed to read the number up close with a magnifying glass. My reading of the news is that the team executed their task in a proper and safe manner.
My guess is that your get-er-done work philosophy more closely resembles that of the crew whose carelessness caused the capsule to be lost.
