SF bay area sailing experience

Hello everyone,

I'm visiting San Francisco from Croatia these days and would like to sail in the Bay. I'm going to be in SF between 6th and 20th Jan and would just like to feel the breeze, can be on any kind of sailing yacht, just for couple of hours or whatever it takes to take a ride around the Bay. So, any anarchists to give advice, contacts, etc. or maybe owning a boat and willing to spend a couple of hours sailing? I would appreciate any kind of help and can return the favor in Croatia of course :)

If your trip gets extended, check out the new San Francisco Boat Show that

starts Thursday, 23 Jan, and runs through Sunday, 26 Jan. It's being held

at McCovey Cove. There are sailboats in the show, and opportunities to go

sailing.

If you're looking to race, the Corinthian Yacht Club in Tiburon is holding it's annual midwinter regatta on the 18th and 19th; lots of boats, the wind might show up. Also, Berkeley Yacht Club has Sunday chowder racing.

Sailed Croatia back in 06 keep in mind SF wind is turned off from Nov through March. Think August in Croatia minus the topless Italians and warm weather. Check in with Scoonerman he has a fleet of fast or comfy pending your tastes. Yukon Jack is a peice of Pacific coast fast sled racing history very cool ride and just spiffed up by scoonerman. Something a Croatia sailor would enjoy sailing not to mention scoonerman has sailed on some pretty impressive rides and is fun to BS with.

Our midwinters is in full swing in SF so lots of potential rides you could snag. Try to snag a ride on a SF \ west coast boat to get the full experience. Express 27, Moore24, Ultimate20, Antrim27 etc.

Thank you all, instead of 6th I came last night and stay here until 20th

I'd definitely like to go with some of you with own boat except F18, no wet suit here and not so experienced in cat sailing, just bought Hobie Cat 14 last summer and starting to learn it

@solosailor, definitely like to go if no administrative obstacles like I must be registered in some club or something like this

so, solosailor, coolerboy and SMBReno, I'm gonna PM you, my schedule here is open or I'm adjusting it according to your free time, sailing's got priority over sightseeing of course:)

hope there's gonna be some stuff
