He still would have had to run for the seat in a special election. Governors get to appoint replacement Senators but the only way to the House is through an election.

Bad training, then. In other countries it's key to conserve ammunition, so you fire 'double taps' only. It may need 4 shots to put him down, but you don't go spraying a whole mag in the hopes of hitting something.

I carried a concealed carry with permit in Philly during the 90’s. I had a 5 shot revolver. If you need more rounds as you are trying to escape a firefight or stop a terrible crime, you need to not be there. YMMV.

No, a Ruger sp101? Hammerless…can’t remember, I gave it to my older brother with a gun safe that was in his house when he bought it. Probably never been back out. I could have bought a 13 round gun for less, but I’m not a killer. I never felt safe carrying, bad people can take you down and take your weapon. I got an Amstaff terrier, looks like a pit Bull and that’s when I got rid of the gun. I did stop a couple of violent crimes an a rape with that gun though. Bad guys had no fear of a long haired, gun toting college kid. Bad times in a bad city. Don’t need a gun in NJ. I am very glad about that.
