Always look to the past for good answers to modern questions.  Cold molding produces sophisticated results if you have the patience.  If you and your dad can build a boat like that, then why not design and build the design what you want (or a copy) in cold molded plywood/glass?  If the hull shape is spot on, the weight penalty you pay for using traditional materials won't really matter.  Just add more sail (whats above the deck is where newer technologies to have the most edge).  Plus you can fix/modify the thing yourself.  And you'll have a timeless on-off and stories to talk about for the rest of your years.

A location where you want to use it would help. River , lake, Sea or Ocean, Fresh or salt water, coldness of the water you go out on? Trailer boat or a morring storage  most of the time? Dock or morring bouy?

i wonder- why no-one of major manufacturers doesn't go for projects like Natali 850, its 28ft, has standing headroom(190cm at galley and 182 at forward cabin), can plane and its possible to fit shower in it and it can be comfortable, i ve seen several boats completed by men at some russian forum

Dash 34.  Move the head from the v-berth to the aft quarter, and put a shower in it - I did this in mine without the shower, but it was certainly possible.  You won't be able to stand up inside further forward than mid-cabin though.

No one can. The only one is the Mac with the big engine. Under sail, though, it' a 4kSB. Was that a serious question?
