I saw an original poster my buddy had. Looked fine to me!Sadly, the tits are heavily shopped.
That’s awesome! That first pic is very cool but it looks like you were not on the best hill😀I'm just back from 3 weeks in Hokkaido, Japan. Absolutely brilliant.

Lots of snow, this was one night's contribution, the car was clean the evening before.

Rock on, dude. I know you are taking it slow. You will get it back. Glad to hear you are back on the sticks.finally back up on the I70 corridor! 3 days up at WP and another 6 split between Vail and BC. heading back east to check on boats and house for a week or so then back out. Heading down to Crested Butte for a week, then Utah and Idaho.. will finish up the season back here in Vail. my patched together lung seems to be working pretty well but the legs are outa shape after a couple years off the hill...
This was not the midwest - but good thinking.Yes. Use plane to tow skiers on snowy taxiway.
That’s funny. Good laugh
I tried to find a clip of the aborted takeoff and then the successful takeoff on a frozen lake in the movie “Never Cry Wolf” but it doesn’t look like there is one. The Beaver in the movie is character in itself though the super otter float plane scene is pretty cool too.
Wow that’s cold. We used a gopro you wear and now I have 20 minutes of HD video to edit. Easy to use but the files are huge.Cold - wind chill of -29deg C one day.
That pic was skiing with my wife in her comfort zone. Skiing with the kids in the trees takes all the skills I possess, taking photos requires a step too far.
thanks mate, stickin to the cruisers so far with very brief forays into bumps and powder. its weird to not have 30 days on the hill by nowRock on, dude. I know you are taking it slow. You will get it back. Glad to hear you are back on the sticks.
Just read Mammoth has already equaled last seasons total snowfall.
I started getting the Epic Pass the year it came out. I also immediately went from probably 14 to 15 days skiing each season to closer to 50 on average. And really started to cherry pick the days I ski. Doubled up on passes with Ikon when it came out and have broadened my horizons away from the evil empire a bit.. pandemic and surgeries cramped it up a bit the last two years, but still got in 30 days before the season shut down in 2020. I can't for the life of me figure out why more folks don't get season passes. It motivated me to ski more. I was fortunate to own a place in Vail for a while and could work remotely on my own time. but if you want to ski, get the pass. You'll figure out a way to get more days in.Season passes are a game changer. At least for me. I just skied 6 days in a row, took today off like an idiot. One day it was snowing so hard and wet I lasted three runs and came back to cabin and took a bath. I have never been so wet and cold. Yesterday I skied 5 runs in an hour on 4 inches of new on top of groomed runs and the place was deserted. Being near the hill is awesome. Fuck the gym.
I just came back down after my first long stint from the 25th to today. 18 days 5 minutes from the hill. Skied 12 days. 6 very nice days, 4 ok days getting a workout, practicing different styles and and being happy and 2 short days where the conditions really sucked. In my previous 52 years of skiing I never skied more than 10-12 days an entire season. Homewood is not part of epic or ikon. I have an ikon pass and will ski palisades and make use of it and it’s buddy passes with my sons during this season. The key to the whole deal is lodging. Access to that makes the season pass work. I am 5 hours driving like a madman door to door to the cabin. Here’s where I can park in 5 mins from the cabin.I started getting the Epic Pass the year it came out. Having both Epic and Ikon gives me some options to follow good conditions around. Since I rarely ski on weekends or holidays anyway, the blackout dates never bothered me much.
