Thanks, but no thanks.

Your proposition. Your burden of evidence.
Actually, you want the FDA to interfere with people's ability to ingest whatever they want into their own bodies. Burden of proof is on you. But, no worries, the proof is very easy to find.

Meanwhile, the FDA prevents poor people from having access to cheap insulin.

Wrong again. The pharmaceutical lobbyists and their pet Congresscritters prevent the sale of less-expensive insulin... much better than the cheap stuff. Actually works. Insulin in all those horrible countries with socialized medicine costs~ 1/10th what it costs in the USA.

And they have very tightly regulated markets for medicinal drugs, several overlapping versions of the FDA.

So first, you're wrong about almost everything you post. 2nd, this last point destroys your case

Your case is that some other part of your government is what is really making the cost of insulin higher?

And you are proud of making this case?

Just for fun, can you tell us what is the name of the insulin drug that Congress prevented from being sold in the US, and a cite to the specific law declaring such?

Thanks!

Thanks for asking.

I support you chasing your own tail. I'm not going to do it for you, nor with you. Please feel free to play your little games without my participation.
So, like most here, you can't make an actual case for anything. You fit right in!

Why, thank you so much, Pot.

[EDIT]

I'm sorry, Jizz. That was rude.

I was never trying to make a case. I simply asked you to provide cites for the case YOU tried to make. You then attributed to me a position I never stated and demanded that I make the case for something I never said.

I'm confident that my refusal to participate in your asinine game is reasonable. If others disagree, I openly invite them to call me out.

Almost everything? You'll have to provide some evidence - a bit of correct info he posted.

OxyContin killed my wife, in 2001, When it was at its highest strength levels. Which she was prescript under a doctors care!
So, in this case a total failure of the FDA, the Drug company, Government, Doctors, Politicians, GOD and the Sackler family.
It was all about the Almighty "In God We Trust" dollar

Purdue Pharma, the maker of the highly addictive painkiller OxyContin, was dissolved on Wednesday in a wide-ranging bankruptcy settlement that will require the company’s owners, members of the Sackler family, to turn over billions of dollars of their fortune to address the deadly opioid epidemic.
But the agreement includes a much-disputed condition: It largely absolves the Sacklers of Purdue’s opioid-related liability. And as such, they will remain among the richest families in the country.

Awesome movie.

Unless we see an economic collapse of some kind, I doubt we will hit 10 billion. The population growth rate is now at 1% and headed fast to zero. Already is zero and less in many places.

As for the number of people that the planet can support, where did you read that? Seems suspect.
I guess a lot of prediction out there, is there an exact number probably not. Some cultures will survey, but which ones, ie: Shit some groups can't even obey simple water usage (Celebrities Penalized For Wasting Water In California Drought} Yet other groups survive on a gallon of water a day.
Interesting who will do better the haves or the have nots?
here is an interesting video that says it better than I can

There are also other factors that come into play, changes happening faster than predicted Global Climate change, nuclear war, diseases trapped in frozen land being released, Pollution of our oceans, AI, civil wars, mass migration conflicts, not enough food, drinkable water. If you can predict the correct number, you're a better person than ...................

The burden here is on the FDA to show that it is effectuating a positive result. It can't make the case, and neither can anyone here. The burden is not on me to prove that these rules should not exist.

But if anyone is interested, the case is laid out very well and can be found more easily than the time it would take for me to paste it in here.

The problem is that most people here probably never went through the analysis of why we should have an FDA and what it really accomplishes. Someone told them it was a good idea one day, and they just took that on faith.

If your nutball moron theory were correct, then Somalia would have the best market for medicinal drugs... everything available at the best price, nothing harmful or faked... and yet somehow that is not the case. Why?

Take a look at the conditions which existed in the years immediately before the FDA was created.

But we know why you really hate gov't regulation... it prevents you from being the crook you aspire to be.

Hard to have capitalism if there isn't rule of law. What a stupid argument.

Yes, that is exactly what you should do. Look at the conditions before the FDA was created. Further, look at the conditions before and after 1962.

Were you able to cite that insulin drug that Congress directly regulated?

I typed in "right wing journalism kills" and you know what, my theory was confirmed.
The right wing is almost as stupid as the left wing. Both support an FDA that kills more people than it saves.

jzk kid is the poster boy for why people complain that PA is so rude and nasty - because they bring bullshit and state it's roses. Most people considered the far left are like me who once upon a time were centrist moderates who are being judged by the FOX brainwashed sheeple who repeat the tripe they consume daily. A true conservative Republican is a vanishing species.

Just stop, it's embarrassing for us all.
