Wow, that is really impressive. Thank you for sharing. People that have waterfront homes are generally experts economics.
Those 'some' would be ignoring the facts. First, that half the population is below average IQ, and those people rarely have innovative or unique methods or ideas that would make them a unique hire. Second, the a portion of the population is disabled in some way and simply can't work in manual labor jobs. Some would say human workers are an assett to help earn the capitol.. And like most assetts, you take care of it, it takes care of you..
The average tenure with my team is 16 years, 14 years under my watch... Yeah I give them trophies, and bonus checks, and maybe a trip for their family too.Let me guess... you offered your workers trophies instead of higher wages, and they laughed and quit.
If that were true, most people would be making minimum wage. "Race to the bottom" is just code for "I have no idea what I am talking about."Those 'some' would be ignoring the facts. First, that half the population is below average IQ, and those people rarely have innovative or unique methods or ideas that would make them a unique hire. As a result, if left unregulated corporations simply have a race to the bottom where they're allowed to burn out person after person because another is more than ready to step up to make desperately needed dollars.
The American manufacturing sector was quite simply the best in the world well into my adulthood. Made in the USA was the standard of excellence for virtually everything.Which has hollowed out the vast American manufacturing sector.
There are regulations supporting workers right to organize - though corporations and republicans have been doing their best to destroy those. Those well paying union jobs help set a benchmark that almost all other wages are related to in some way. Teamsters. UAW. NEA. SEI.Other than minimum wage, what regulations are there now? How are there people out there making $100k? Are corporations just stupid?
The corporate world has been engaged in a race to the bottom re: staff since the 80's. Cutting benefits, stagnating or reducing pay etc. etc. etc.Why is it that businesses are complaining, and guys who see themselves as "entrepreneurs" like you, are whining they can't hire workers? Or complaining that people don't want to work?
Is it because they make sure outstanding workers are prized, or is it because they expect to get average workers for shit wages?
I must not understand the system, I just ended up doing well enough to have a waterfront home, some nice boats, retire early, be a volunteer sailing coach with my free time.
