The Hilton is in walking distance of the yc. It's a little pricey, but the valet guys rock.

A-Units have started and defiled numerous threads concerning st. petey; however, I am not sure how far back they are.

St. Pete and Tampa are pretty decent areas. Downtown st. pete is up and coming, so be on the look out for wealthy blue hairs interspersed with the non-descript boho consumer.

Good bars, and decent food all around the yc; however, there are some great eats' over the bridge in Tampa.

Most hotels downtown are booked solid! I tried the Hilton 2 weeks ago and no go. I had to get a room 5 miles away!

Hilton is about 2 blocks from SPYC.Takes 3-5 minutes if you walk.30 seconds if you drive.

You've got the boardwalk with a bunch of resteraunt/bars about 5 min north of SPYC(walking distance)

Unit was gonna come, but now that I hear my skipper is putting me up in some second rate digs the rockstar in me is having second thoughts.......

For lodging look at the Holiday Inn Heritage, maybe a 4 block walk. Older hotel that has been renovated. 2 double bed rooms about $120, suites with queen and pull out double about $160. Happy hour, pool and jacuzzi. Nice buffet breakfast about $8 with tax and tip. Smaller rooms (suite is big) but it definitely lacks the institutional feel of a Hilton.

Im starting to think NOOD is a bad idea.They serve all that great food at the all you can eat buffets and its 2 days be4 J24 mids.O boy this is gonna be tough!

trying to figure a plane ride home:

NOR says latest signal Sunday is 1400...okay, race may end at 4,

an hour back to slip?, clean up boat, it's 5:30-6:00...grab my crap and

catch cab to TPA...can it be done in time to catch a 1930hr flite?

or would that be pushing it? (I hate worrying about a catching planes)
