State of RaceQs

Donating the near-carcass of raceQs to a national governing body like US Sailing who could then dole it out to the likes of the regional PHRF associations etc would be kinda nice, don'tcha think?
Nope, giving it to US Sailing would destroy it completely.
I use the watch app and all the data goes into Garmin Connect. I can download and share my gpx files from there. Don't think I've logged into the raceQ's server since registering and setting everything up.

The developer and his team have a lot going on right now.
They're based in Ukraine.

Oh darn, do I ever feel like a big bitchin' Dweeb 🤭.

In any case, something seems to have shifted in the works; my tracks and those of whom I seek to blow away on the course are now re-playable on line. Woo hoo!

OK. But doing this avoids benefiting from the best feature of the program: Replaying not only your boat's progress but also that of everybody else who had been racing.

raceQs provides much, much more than pedestrian bread-crumbing of gps tracks.

Well, not quite. The founder lives in SF... he's not terribly preoccupied with keeping it running though

My watch app (Garmin F 6) updated and lost the start line functionality. Anyone know how to get it back?
The watch app developer is separate from the core RaceQs. You can probably get a response from him through the watch app FaceBook page.

I know for a while the start line function was disabled because he didn't think the GPS accuracy of a watch (typically a few meters) was good enough to be usable, but I think it's since been put back.

Yup, I concur. His name, apparently, is Alan. Although he's a bit of an arrogant sod, he's much easier to get ahold of than the parent program's Dev (whom, by the way, I'd like to thank profusely for his work on this thing!).

Lots of reports of the core RaceQs be inoperable/ineffective for the past several weeks. Can anyone confirm? Are there any suitable alternatives for RaceQs for small club handicap racing? We typically only have 5-7 boats. Losing 2 to run committee really hurts.
