Opcn - Maybe stop worrying about it so much. We'll find his videos just fine.

I m mostly worried about reddit suspending accounts or subreddits for copyright violation. Doug is claiming copyright on material that is not subject to copyright, there is nothing at reddit to stop him from claiming it on any material created by anyone.

Read the DMCA, there may be a private right of action in it for those who misuse/abuse the process or perjure themselves in the certification in any takedown notice as required by the act. Otherwise you gotta file a complaint with whichever agency would have jurisdiction.

Nothing whatsoever. However, that's completely irrelevant. The discussion is about you, not me. If I am also sealioning, then I could reasonably be accused of it... but that would not absolve you.

On the other hand your post is yet another tangential question and hence further proof of your sealioning behaviour.

Have you got it yet? A simple yes/no would suffice...
Well then . . . when people ask me whether I'm a sealion, and I ask them what a sealion is, then that is a discussion about me, so my posts asking for them to define a sealion are on topic.

You are speaking out of both sides of your mouth here.

The Bard has spoken...

A sealion is a type of online troll who asks questions in a way that is intended to be disruptive or annoying. The term is derived from the image of a sealion flopping around on a dock, barking at people. Sealions often use loaded questions, personal attacks, and other forms of aggressive communication to try to get a reaction out of their targets.
Sealions are often used in political discourse, where they can try to derail conversations or make it difficult for people to have productive discussions. They can also be used in other online communities, such as social media and discussion forums.
If you encounter a sealion, it is important to be aware of their tactics and not to engage with them in a way that will only make the situation worse. You can also try to report them to the moderators of the forum or website where they are posting.

OK, you've provided a definition of sea lion.

Now, the hard part--how does my activity in this thread meet that definition?

I just got to this thread and like you didn't know what a sealion is (in this context). My opinion is that the initial question, what evidence do you have that he is judgement proof, by itself was not sealioning. But your histrionic response where you cherry-picked from the reply was probably within definition of sea lioning. "at least one person in this thread admits .... blah blah blah". I am doing everything from memory. Quotes are probably not verbatim, etc. Not going to read through it again to get perfect quotes.

Reddits counter notice system is all automated and very poorly, cannot get a hold of a real person. Finding and paying a lawyer to deal with it is a giant pain in the ass and would be bad for both doug who deserves the consequences and me who does not. It would be a whole lot better if his lawyer sent him a note and let him know that he needs to stop.

Reminds me of a double date I went on decades ago. We were both active members of the he-man women haters club at the time. I had a short bed Chevy pickup regular cab at the time. Me and my buddy picked up first female, and things were tight in the front seat, so we unfolded the lawn chair we brought along in the back for the second female. Needless to say there were no second dates with them. They were both regular size not jumbo. We were having fun.

"Hey Alexa, what's the humidity? 83%. That's good because the paint recommends 85%." Yeah you fuckwit: I'm sure if it's 83% outside you're good to go within your boat.

Must've missed the memo.

The established protocol for this occasion is that the passenger's date sits on his lap.
