Do they even have big enough diesel tanks for a trip like that?!?Sydney, around Tasmania (either direction is allowed) and back to Sydney
Might not be finished by New Year and possibly too far for the maxis (they would need to have a watch system. Do they even have bunks?)
Melbourne to Melbourne with Tasmania to starboard.Details?
That's a solid effort ....I used to be against the CYCA's conservative stance and was supportive of opening up the race to multis. However this incident south of Sydney last year shows that the CYCA is correct to not allow multis. Multi idiots need to be protected from their own stupidity.
I heard that the owner changed the bow profile, perhaps in the hope of reducing the problem that caused them to flip. Just sounds like putting lipstick on a pig.
Sorry for the late response.... I was out sailing on Saturday and after a great race I may have indulged a tad to much ....... I'm awake nowI tried....
Your Google fu is stronger than mine!
I just looked for Lydia’s suggestion on YT & pasted it.Hey Scanas - where'd you dig this up from? It's GOLD! I just sent a link thru to some mates who are loving the nostalgia...so many good stories!!
Listen, there's mythical footage out there of a Hobart that was a bit rugged...early/mid 80's...done (I think?) by the ABC....covered an interview of the crew of Joint Venture after we'd smashed every ring frame and limped back to Eden...I had a VHS copy (courtesy of Fletch) but it's gone missing and I'm scouring the internet for it without success...
Anyone with info leading to its discovery will be well rewarded!!!
Couta standing bye......
Hey Lydia...any idea where the mythical footage might be found? I know it exists 'cos I've seen in on VHS...just not online. Would love to get a copy!I just looked for Lydia’s suggestion on YT & pasted it.
