Public Health Tasmania just today said you shouldn’t go trick or treating. Allowing 500-1000 yachties in, majority of which would be from two currently banned states, would be a WILD decision IMO. 60/40 it’ll be on woth restrictions I reckon. I mean QLD is gunna have 30000 at the AFL.

It will be interesting to see how CYCA handles it.

Watching the awards the other night there was a lot of "looking forward to Hobart this year" comments being made by senior people.

Bit of insider trading. Training & preparing before it’s announced.

I love it when committees at clubs think they get a say in how the world works, especially in 2020.  Made even more awkward by the fact the CYCA has been on the NSW hot spot list not once but twice.

Pretty wild time to be alive!

State of Emergency’s in place. AFL pushing Qld gov to have full stadium of 45,000 at grand final. Tasmania says don’t go walk around outdoors in your neighbour hood (trick or treating). WHO backflip on lockdowns. Victoria passes  “unprecedented and excessive” COVID compliance law. West Australian CHO says border closure is against his advice. All in the last week & somehow they are going to run a yacht race where the two major contributing states are at this stage not allowed to enter the state in which the race finishes in.

Would be a huge win for common sense but certainly against the establishment.

They will set up a large marquee and limit it to dockside area would be my edumacated guess......
Toilets? Showers? Flights home? Turn & burn only? Say it gets 80 starters that’s 800 odd ppl. Can’t see 15 crew + rich owner on the bunks of a TP52 then getting out of there with a food drop.

It’s not clear on the website yet.

They are jumbled amongst the other yachts, so it’s hard to work out.

Hopefully they’re identifiable soon!
There  are 2 SunFast 3300's and 2 SF3600's which I suspect were all going for 2h. Although one of the 3600's recently changed ownership and maybe the new owner might have other ideas now? There is a Lombard 34 Mistral which I believe was also bought for the 2h S2H

I do wonder how many Vic entries will still race. The lockdown might have cut into some boats prep time too much.

The race won't proceed unless there is a major change in thinking by the Tasmanian Gov't about how they are managing the apparent rampant COVID risk on the mainland.  Common sense would suggest you remove all the State borders now the virus is either none existent or suppressed in almost all States (even Vic seems to be now under control), but we all know common sense aint that common in most politicians unfortunately.

So by the looks of it, three 100 footers entered: Black Jack, Infotrack and Scallywag. Wild Oats not entered yet.

Both Ichi Ban's have been entered, and Maserati has been entered.
