I have no idea as to the specifics as to why BAR have underperformed, however I have previously speculated that the leadership just isn't working.
Ben is clearly an amazing sailor, but being good at something doesn't make you good at leading teams of people doing that something.

From reading between the lines and the limited intel I have when it comes to the Brits I can tell you this: A high % of Team Members loathe Jim Ratcliffe. They can't stand him hence the Team Chemistry is very bad. Most people there wish Ratcliffe would just go away.

Going to be interesting what the French can do in 2024 for sure.
Quentin seems a level-headed guy and I like Bruno Dubois massivly. I still maintain that he is one of the best General Managers. I was very impressed how he managed Dongfeng Race Team in the 2014/2015 and 2017/2018 Editions of the Volvo Ocean Race.
