I don't agree with it, that is, making it a requirement let alone asking, but go look up amenorrhea and the problems it can create now and later down the road for some. This has become very common with female athletes.

If the spirit is for the maintenance of good health, then it should be an option - and no more.

HIPPA is for healthcare providers. The coaches and the school are not Health Care providers. Any government bureaucrat they give it to is not a healthcare provider.

It was a fairly common condition in top-drawer women's basketball, but nowadays you don't see women's BB players all looking like marathoners (like they did in the 90s) much anymore. This was due to discovering that it's unwise to take a men's training schedule and just run women through it. They tend to lose too much weight and corresponding strength when you do that. Testosterone is a performance enhancing drug in several different ways, among them recovery time. The women in serious BB programs are given more time between workouts and games than they used to get and it hasn't been nearly the issue it once was.
