Hello Guys,

I made a purchase one month ago about an item that was listing in Mauri Pro sailing webpage.

They get in touch with me 10 days later telling me that my card details were wrong. (asking for my card details inside the chat).

After updating card information, I asked ten days in a row inside the chat for getting any update from the order. Finally received a phone call telling me that the product was not in stock, so I'll wait 5 weeks to get it shipped.

One month after, they are telling me that product it's still unavailable, and also that they made a "mistake" in the listing so, I'll be getting half of the product I paid for.
Of course, I need to ask every fuc*** day for get any updates in my order.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

Worst Customer Service I have ever seen...

I did have an issue with something listed on their website (and to be fair, on a few others as well) but the Mfg had discontinued it. They let me know fairly quickly. We found an alternate and it was all good.

I suppose that's the new world of drop ship retail. If the Mfg doesn't keep their databases up to date, the retailer gets the heat.

Why not just cancel the order? I would have done so on day 10, and I see no reason why you are still waiting. Do they have some item that is nowhere else available? I would be surprised if they did.

that's almost as bad as buying a shirt from the fucking editor at sailing anarchy.
Completely untrue.... All of my SA swag both won and bought arrived on time and ready to wear.   Go away troll!!!

Somebody needs to give the big flick to all these Scot Tempesta haters.   There are other sailing sites if you do not like this one...

Someone told me that if you are nice to "Ed"  he will even give you the shirts..  You should learn to be nice to "Ed".... and using a username like "Editor" to attempt a badge of 'legitimacy' is really low.. wait till I tell Ed...

Bought some parts for a furler from them which I couldn’t find anywhere else at the price. Took a while to get them as the manufacturer was on back order but they kept me informed and the part arrived on schedule. Happy enough to use them again

That’s part of the deal if you’re going to play the drop ship game though. It’s a known gamble.  If I order from a drop shipper that says it’s in stock, I expect it to be in stock.

Having said that, Mauri Pro has a perfect track record with me over the years.

Yep, 3 different retailers showed the part available. I went with MP as I've ordered from them in the past and I like their chat feature. All 3 retailers would have been hung out to dry by the manufacturer in this case. MP worked with me to find the alternate, and had that express (drop shipped I assume) as well.Got it the night before I needed it, so all good.

The complainers need to get the “Amazon” mentality out of their mind. Yes, inventory is tight for everyone. Retailers like MP typically are going off an inventory list provided by manufacturers. If the manufacturers list is not accurate then retailers like MP takes the flack/heat. All you need to do is ask that they do the best they can in this current market/world to give you the straight info.  If that isn’t good enough try another retailer. Funny thing is, you will find the same answer/response. So pick up the phone and call before you order to get the true skinny. How many parts are on a boat? Now multiply that by 1000! Who the F&@$ can stock all s$&@ and be profitable? Best bet is to create a relationship with one retailer, plan accordingly, and accept the fact that they are doing the best they can to get you what you need. I’ve ordered many times from MP and it takes time to figure out the details for specific parts. If you, or anyone, get that spun up on ASAP parts needed, plan ahead. Make a kit of pawls, springs, blocks, guts for clutches, shackles, ………. Plan ahead so you will have $xxx - xxxx in spares.

Yes and no. If I go to buy something from someone and it says “in stock,” I expect it to be in stock, not presumed to be in stock at their supplier. If they’re honest and just say it’s drop shipped and believed to be in stock, I’m ok with the snags you describe.
