I’m sure Laura Campbell has no offspring, or she couldn’t make such a blasé statement about children being murdered.

Mass killings frequently happen only due the the access to guns. It's not the guns it's the access to guns, especially the rapid fire reload types.
Cut down access to them only allow bolt action single shot and see the numbers fall. Cut down access to people in city's (except if you can show you need protection) and those with no apparent work/hunting use and it'll be reduced to less than 1 a decade or maybe less.

Exactly the opposite, Americans are at the pinnacle despite what the handwringing leftist cry for the last 50 years!
so killing children is a good thing? I can see the advantage for climate change and general population control, but it seems drastic to me,
