When will you start actually advocating removal of some of the 1st 10 amendments so your "guns only for the government" utopia can start the door-to-door search and seizure?

That is what it would take, otherwise it is just a new version of the war on (some) drugs.

You're talking to a Canadian. Canada is hard at work figuring out how to take away battlefield .22's and other such weapons of mass destruction.

The three year anniversary of the heroic ban recently passed and I'm told that soon they will be rounding up weapons and making Canada safe again.

Tom will, of course, correct me, but his "Battlefield 22" is really a .0223, not .022. He does that intentionally to confuse the two distinctly different types of rounds and make his 223 seem sedate. Most people are familiar with their grandpa's .022 and it seems innocent enough. Few non-gun nuts (unless they've had military experience) are familiar with the .0223.

They do this intentionally to confuse people into thinking they don't want to ban guns that are generally viewed as "sedate." Most people are familiar with their Grandpa's .22 and are unaware that TeamD/Grabby types dishonestly talk about other guns while proposing to ban the "innocent" and "sedate" .22's along with them.

And yes, I'm accusing TeamD/Grabbers of being a bunch of liars. If anyone proves me wrong, I'll do that non-asshole thing where I apologize for the baseless accusation of deception.

But one point you make, that ought to be repeated often and loudly: gun bans obviously work, that's why Republican and NRA leaders ban guns in their presence.
