lol, it's like it can compute either no boat having passed the Horn, or all of them having passed it, and not caring about land to measure the distance to Itajai :)
By the way, the 3D (globe) view that existed on geovoile trackers before is really missing on this leg
Yeah, we need that 3D Tracker back! I've already contacted TOR on this but no response.

In the wild.
Well, Boris and Nicolas have been there before, and know how to piss into the wind.
But you are right, they also seem to keep the puppies under control, however good they are in their own right.

And again: Where's Nico?

It's like Rosie, Will and Antoine are the kids running around having fun while Boris and Nico and the parents in the background...

Nico seems to be quite the introvert and would happily do it without the fuss of the camera.

There is a photo of them all on the boom and Nico is the only one without his hands in the air.
Rosie is full of bounce,
Will is probably a bit more introverted but seems to come out of his shell a bit - but wants to focus on sailing and winning.
Boris is an old salt (in his 40's).
Nico is the old 'get off my lawn' man who just wants to get shit done
Ant seems to be stoked whenever he gets the drone back which is a bit of fun.
Seems like a good mix of people.

Holcim are giving chase and gaining nicely! Up nearly 4 knots on speed over the last 4 hours. If the conditions follow the forecast, right now is the roughest they should be seeing before it begins to ease off.
Would be crazy to have drone shots of Malizia and Holcim foiling next to each other and trying to outdo one another. One can only hope :)

This crew and PR work will be the benchmark for years to come.

So the potential sponsor will sit back and ask "So which one will play the Rosie?"

As forecast and over an hour, not as instantaneous as it seems.

Now that 11th hour and Biotherm are stuck at the horn Malizia has 4 points for the second part almost in the bag. Time to chill and play it safe, esp. with the injury on board.
At least they had enough time after the photoshoot to take some of their 4 headsails down and store them. :)

I remember Boris being one of the most communicative sailors in the Vendee Globe as well.
As a result he inspired someone else to buy a Pogo 40S4 to be used by two young sailors (Lennart Burke and Melwin Fink) from the Mini-Series (in German):
