Like my prediction that Randumb would be banned?
Or that someone would have autopilot problems in this leg?
I'm also predicting that you wouldn't last half a leg, before they dump the Sissy over the side.

You mean you are so clairvoyant that after you report someone multiple times, that he might be banned? You mean like that prediction?

So did you feel tough?

Take it to PA dickhead.

Stop crapping on this thread, I'm going back to watch Rosie again.

Could that be their gybe mid-night (not midnight lol)?
Sounds like Kevin is playing with the keel which makes sense in a gybe. This also explains the heel angle alarms because there's less keel to make RM so you don't have to move the keel a full 80 degrees in the gybe.
Also makes sense then why he talks about the runners, asking if they are ready and so on.

Steering that thing in these conditions looks like the most tense thing ever.

Do you mean a gybe-broach?

If they were just normal gybing, how to explain this pic where his back and head are against the roof?

See below for The Ocean Race show around 3:40 as Niall explains the nose dive with the boat uncontrollably turning to windward side instead of turning to leeward side after being stopped. The keel, the water ballast and the stack are on the wrong side of the boat pressing her down in what seems to be a 30 to 45 degrees heel angle what you see here on HPRB imho.

In order to get out of this situation you would have to swing the keel. Then bear away, pick up speed, and tack back. And swing the keel again.

With the first 2 boats 10 nm apart there is not much use for wx routing them separately, as the maximum GRIB file resolution available is GFS with 0,25 degrees or 15 nm. So technically they are sailing in the same weather. Also, the weather models don't agree on the location and movement of the developing HP zone south of Mar del Plata to their NE where they are directly heading now.

As TM is closest to that HP, chances are high that this provides an opportunity for HPRB to get closer. The current +/- 14 kts wind speed will provide the crew of the one Rosie short TM some relieve to recover hopefully. Light wind sailing the whole day. Sea state < 2 meters.

So check the tracker today for updates and I will hopefully find time to have a look later this afternoon what is in store for the coming days.

Getting closer, now 6.5 Nautical Miles.
HOLCIM-PRB chopped off 1.4 Nautical Miles in the last hour.
Terrifying Experience for Nico Lunven I can tell you that

On board TM:

Will Harris: "Hey Nico, what is that smokey fish smell? "

Nico Lunven (from somewhere in the boat, unseen): "Those are Kevin's smoked mussels. HPRB is 7nm away. It's only going to get worse. The pate^ will be next."

WH: "Arghhhh. Time to break out the Scotch eggs and sauerkraut."
If Holcim brings out the paté Boris will fire back with Leberwurst

And they are about to enter weakening winds...

...and the current is turning to the nose.

I say Kevin will take a lead very soon.

BTW. I presume from the AIS info above, TM has class A as they are advertising their destination. Holcim is B+.

Also we can see TM is not planning to stop at Itajai :)
