The rumor regarding Kevin I heard today (and it is not more than a rumor but from a usually well informed source) is, that the „incident“ in Newport was not the first one and that he actually got fired by Holcim/PRB...
Happily you made clear that's just a rumor.
"well informed source" We know well that type of source.

One more VNR of yesterday's fly-by:

And the interviews:
11th Hour Racing Team (USA)
Francesca Clapcich (ITA) - Interview in ENGLISH

Team Malizia (GER)
Boris Herrmann (GER) - Skipper - Interview in GERMAN
Boris Herrmann (GER) - Skipper - Interview in ENGLISH

So what's happening with 11th hour? Holcim, running one mile off the shoreline, has been closing down on them for a few hours, now. At 10:15 they were both pointed south, Holcim 22nm back. At 13:15, they're just 5nm back. 11th was a bit more offshore earlier, now seems they are getting between their competitor and the finish line...

They are match racing with Holcim PRB. The rest is 50 nM behind.
They are catching up with the older VO65's
The speed difference and the safe sheltered cabin of the Imoca's is astonishing.

Looks like HOLCIM-PRB is just content following 11th Hour Racing Team in and take 2nd if they can't win the Leg.

Team Malizia apparently has just passed Biotherm but they are over 30 Nautical Miles behind the leading Duo!

Duh.. they have been gaining on 11th all day.. now only 4 miles behind..... what makes you think they are "content". In fact I'll take it as good news, and a good omen for Holcim that you write such drivel.. .. if history has any bearing then they will continue to do the opposite of what you suggest. With the crew on board, including the very competitive Yoann, they'll be trying their hardest, I would guess.

.. oh and do check the time stamps on the tracker - they are not always synchronised.

HOLCIM is just following 11th Hour Racing in. The Crew doesn't have the Boatspeed to overtake them with Kevin Escoffier, Tom Laperche and Sam Goodchild all gone!

DG is our resident idiot. He tries to make up for IQ points with exclamation points. It’s rather odd, but his posts are adorable.
