Wow wee! Didn’t a few people end up behind bars in. Newport a couple of editions ago?

In the last TOR, I eluded to it in the leg 5 thread.
A bunch of people refused to leave a bar when there was a fire alarm. The police was called and a certain famous navigator probably argued that he didn't see a fffucking fffire and stayed put. When the policeman put a hand on him a brawl erupted, also involving a police woman. Several got arrested and were later fined $100-200 to be paid to a charity, by a judge who kind of accepted their apologies.
They were lucky not to get 69'd.

Reading between the lines, I'm afraid Kevin might not be so lucky, although stepping down as skipper is a very big apology in it's own right. Whatever happened, it must be pretty devastating for all involved.

Needless to say, as a Holcim PRB and Kevin fan, I am shocked. And if the rumors of the alleged incident are true, very disappointed. What this means for Team Holcim PRB and Kevin going forward is dicey.

'll be in Texel at that time for the 44th edition of the Round Texel race. @Herman, is it right that the fleet is allowed to pass directly near the frisian islands?
Start of the Round Texel race is June 10th 10:30 – 11:00. The ocean race fleet will pass Texel 24hs later - June 11th in daylight hours. So participants still have a change to join the arrival in Scheveningen. Traditionally June 11th is fallback race day, which has been cancelled due to the ocean race:

Due to the arrival of the Ocean Race on June 11, there is unfortunately no fallback to Sunday, June 11 for the Round Texel Race!

The prospect of a 11th hour and. HPRB match race for the final legs was an exciting enough prospect but now HPRB have to save face and the race.

Now for Malizia to sail around both of them and claim the glory 😂

Not gone happen, unless some disaster, like a DNF, strikes 11th Hour. Even twice 2 boats in between them will not be enough.

And please spare us the TikTok dance and cries of that 26 year old teenybopper, even though she's a very good crew, and I would be the first to congratulate her.

You are bitterly annoying with your comments towards Rosi. Maybe it‘s because you‘re less entertaining than her?

I must be too old to really like her style, or that of the team for that matter, but love to take the piss of the sick fanboys here. And this is SA, not Sailing Nicey Nice.
Besides, I have earned the right to be critical, the hard way.
And you in Stuttgart, Zugvogel sailor?

as a Kevin fan, a total shocker. Surely, everyone is innocent until proven otherwise, but for the sound of the very short press statements (e.g. TOR: "we support the decision for the integrity of the race") it doesn't look good for Kevin :-(

The upcoming legs won't be as intense for us followers as expected. Kevin against Enright against Boris was a great story. Although with Biotherm and Guyot back, and should they manage to get into the podiums, it is anyone race for the top 3. It should make for attractive legs.

You forget that I was one of the very few who early on were positive about the race. Now that it is a sukses all the fanboys jump onboard, and turn every damn thread into a Facebook page.
