Joking aside, the pessimist in me says that the whispers of covid being, essentially, airborne HIV are just too persistent and ring too true to discard...
Consider this: HIV initially presents as an influenza-like illness, sometimes just as a fever and muscle aches, sometimes with no symptoms at all, then goes into a dormant state on average for about 8 years before presenting as acute HIV infection and progressing to AIDS.
Also consider China is still trying to pursue a "0 covid" policy...
So, there is a high probability that, vaccine or not, we are ALL fucked.

So @EYESAILOR did you look in detail at the data from King County? Interesting the stats for the unvaccinated vs the vaccinated in the younger cohorts.

Those are Case Rates which is meaningless data. Most cases are now unreported.
I dont know about King County but in Middlesex County , less than 20% of cases are now reported. The reports often don't include vaccine status....and there is a pronounced confounding ethnic/socio-demographic factor. In other words, if you are wealthy, educated and vaccinated, you are far more likely to visit the doctor if you feel unwell or suspect Covid.
Unfortunately and unfairly, there is an ethnic bias in vaccination rates. African Americans are less likely to get vaccinated and less likely to have a family practitioner.
The data you need to look at is :
1) Hospitalizations
2) Death rates
Both are real data. They are also the outcomes we care about.
The data in King County will likely show the same as most parts of the country. The risk of being hospitalized declines significantly as you go into younger age demographics, notably under 25.

I'm not trying to persuade you to get vaccinated. I think you would rather go to your grave than face the dreaded needle...and that is your choice to make. But the facts are the facts.
