Ahhh. Him. Dr. Aseem Malhotra is the diet guru/crank who promoted a poster abstract by (another diet guru/crank) titled Mrna COVID Vaccines Dramatically Increase Endothelial Inflammatory Markers and ACS Risk as Measured by the PULS Cardiac Test: a Warning. The anti-vaxxers were beside themselves happy.

Unfortunately, the abstract was so bad that the journal published an "Expression of Concern" that read in part, Soon after publication of the above abstract in Circulation, it was brought to the American Heart Association Committee on Scientific Sessions Program’s attention that there are potential errors in the abstract. Specifically, there are several typographical errors, there is no data in the abstract regarding myocardial T-cell infiltration, there are no statistical analyses for significance provided, and the author is not clear that only anecdotal data was used. We are publishing this Expression of Concern until a suitable correction is published to indicate that the abstract in its current version may not be reliable.

Actual experts then ripped the abstract to pieces. As I recall, one of the key matters is that he failed to acknowledge that vaccines routinely cause inflammation and of course he had no data on-topic. I see now that the abstract and title have been substantially revised. Its title is now Observational Findings of PULS Cardiac Test Findings for Inflammatory Markers in Patients Receiving mRNA Vaccines. Not nearly as sexy. It contributes in a minor way to 'the science'.

Had Dr. Aseem Malhotra not gone off half-cocked, Dr. Steven Gundry might have saved himself (and @Marinatrix447) some embarassment. But then Dr Steven Gundry is kinda like Trump --- a showman who seems to think all press is good press.

I was hoping that a higher mortality variant that was covered by the vaccines would cull the herd of the stupid people. Unfortunately, the combination of them not understanding pregnancy, not using abortion or contraception, or having as many children as god will provide will no doubt overcome the numbers put down by Covid.
