Current science says if you are older or at risk and had the last bivalent booster should be good until the fall. Then? Could be a new one for the latest variants or we could just be getting a yearly covid shot along with the flu shot. Science, it's still evolving unlike some of the clowns here.

This information of course is one flu over the covidiots heads since they are only here to "own the libs" and be noticed. Right Wess? Laughing at you dude.

Have you paid for one yet?
Nope. No co-pay. Blissfully unaware of who pays as I just show my card, never see insurance paperwork: Feds, Medicare, Advantage, ... ??? Same for all my vaccines.

Maybe this is what is chapping "Chief Stipe"s ass, he's paying taxes that support public health.

When all the people benefit, all the people should chip in, nyet? BTW you're welcome!

Actually it is all the billions that have been wasted instead of spent on real primary health cafe. For example billions on pointless masks.

Trump and Fauci should have come up with a better communication strategy. The Surgeon-General should have been the face of public health during the crises. Americans love men in uniform. C. Everett Koop did great public health work for Reagan with both AIDS and smoking. The "Great Communicator" knew when to delegate.

If you take the time to watch the documentary I posted a link to on another thread in this forum you will understand why Dr. Fauci wasn't able to do a great job of presenting the facts. I don't want to give the plot away so you will have to watch to see who is to blame. BTW, it was Dr. Fauci who did all the heavy lifting for the HIV/Aids virus. Great story and amazing work.

I will watch it. I have no doubt that Dr. Fauci was very diligent long before Covid. I think Reagan knew that he had made commercials for smokes back in the day, so he wasn't in a position to hector people about tobacco.

USD$130 a shot now. That will limit who can get it.

Shithole third world country here, population 215 million.

About 550 million covid vaccine doses administered so far. Until the middle of last year, 100% of them in the free public healthcare system, only the government was authorized to buy the vaccine until then.

You simply show up at your neighborhood free healthcare clinic, show your national ID card, and they give you the vaccine. That's what I did this Monday. I waited 15 minutes and received my 6th shot (the 5th booster), the Pfizer bivalent.

Brazil has the lowest level of vaccine hesitancy in Latin America. Even with an anti-vaxxer president, Bolsonaro:

"Brazilians have a long tradition of getting vaccinated, for free, and the vaccinations are seen as a right, not a duty,” ... “This goes back to the end of Brazil’s dictatorship, a very audacious public-health-care system, and some very good immunization campaigns.” ... The public system is supported by 78 percent of the population. When people complain about it - even people on the far right - they usually ask for more investment into it, and better free services, rather than dismantling.

Yup, I got my flu and second covid booster at the same time in October, one in each shoulder, will probably end up waiting for that again this year.

My wife and me got the two first vaccine shots and the booster, but now that enough time has passed and the studies are telling us what really is going on with the vaccine, we have decided that we are not taking any more mRNA vaccines without the proper trials needed.
Same with us.

Good thinking because obviously over 700 million doses just in the US couldn't be enough. Just for giggles how many and how long would proper trials be? For what it's worth total vaccines world wide is over 12 billion, not sure what the breakdown is for mRNA and some like the Chinese one is not nearly as effective.

Good news is even though the efficacy is waning you still have more protection than those who didn't get them. There are non mRNA ones available, one was created by a team in Houston as it's cheap to make and distribute and is being widely used in 3rd world places and has no patents or royalties.
