That video is one of my favorites.

In this age, my take is fine, kind of outreach thing, connecting with folks in the social media world of today. Law enforcement has a tough job, some have made it worse by their actions, but still believe most are good folks. Obviously some belligerent/power hungry idiots still exist.
But if Norfolk thinks it humanizes their employees to some degree, whatever. Doubt it makes a difference in the 2am drug bust or domestic argument, but maybe tames down a traffic stop that could have gone south.

I see this as a stress reliever. If you can accomplish that, workers perform better. Whether it's the police, fire, nurses, military, all are stressful jobs.

It's good to see smiles wipe away the stress, even if only for a moment.
