And yet there are many outback communities that function well.It doesn't really matter what this government, or any Aus gov., tries to do.
The sad situation of outback blackfellas is an evolutionary problem.
As long as there are remote communities with fuck-all to live for except dole day and green cans, nothing will change.
The local blackfellas I know don't give a damn about the Voice and fundamentally distrust all politicians.
They are concerned about their jobs, mortgages, kids, the cost of living. You know, the same shit as all of us Australians........
The voice is a tool. The background work the collective communities have put in to resolve their various issues, Statement from the heart etc, the 200 community meetings and reports from those communities, all pretty much stated that what was needed was a permanent voice to parliament. Their voice. If we fail to follow through with our side, it will be the end of any joint attempts to resolve these problems.
