Fuck Fauxbook.

www.practicalmachinist.com - probably the best knowledge base on the net for this sort of stuff.

There's a sub-forum dedicated to South Bend lathes.

Or www.lathes.co.uk - Tony has a truly vast array of data on all sorts of machine tools. And sells manuals at eye-watering prices, but sometimes he's the only source, so - shrug. I've bought off of him, always a decent product but exxxy.

Your Easter Regatta web site is linked there .

Your shop website isn't .

As you can see from the above comments folks enjoy your shop site :)
Wow!! I gotta fix that. I knew the sig linked to the http://schrothfiberglass/Easter.htm page but I didn’t realize the Easter Page doesn’t have a link to “home.”

In fact, there is a link to my very old Laser general info page but that isn’t what I wanted.

The problem: my website was built with Microsoft Frontpage which hasn’t been updated since 2002.
Godaddy says the old program has too many vulnerabilities and removed support of all the automatic update features.
I can only update using an old FTP program. So… we are rebuilding with something else.
As the site is only a hobby, it is taking a while.

I remember doing dodgy repairs with bits of beer can and bog. Thats taking it to another level and very impressive finish. He's obviously laying down the gauntlet to other extreme panel beaters around the world.
I'm sure I can hear the Architect saying they don't like the "brutality of the build"!

I appreciate this thread is about tools....If anyone knows how to handle a tool, it will be James Bond. Shaken not stirred...

Watched the most recent (last year, No Time to Die) Bond film with Daniel Craig the other night. The special effects are so way far over the top as to rival Matt Damon's crazy, unbelievable stunts. I appreciate this genre of action films, but it is more enjoyable IMHO, when the stunts bear some semblance to reality.

Yes, and let’s face it, the best stories are more about the drama than the action itself (especially FX)
