Fortunately, after a brief dance with the early battery stuff - lawn stuff mostly - I decided to skip any further reliance on batteries. The single exception to this is my Festool drill/driver. Those lithium batteries have lasted forever and been flawless in recharging and the length of use. So.....moral of the story is all my stuff is corded or pneumatic hose.
I've had a lot of luck with Dewalt batteries. The only ones that have crapped out were over 10 years old at the time. One made it over 15 years. Both were the older 18v. The oldest 20v I have now is pushing 10 years.

As far as cordless nailers, I've looked but every video I've seen of them requires a charge loading time. Made me think cordless wasn't meant to replace pneumatic.

I don't know shit about tools, but I can say that the $100 Milwaukee level I just purchased is a piece of shit:

Put it on the newly painted wall to install cabinets, and the red plastic leaves red marks that won't come off. Have to paint the wall again. Fucking POS.

Are you out of the same paint you had used on the wall? Slather some more on those red marks.
You'll probably be the only one that notices any difference.

Oh, and then return that POS level.
there some people to whom the explanation "you'll be the only one who knows" is just not helpful. :D

You can use a portable air tank (Like you'd use as a remote tire filler tank) for small jobs where you only need a few dozen brads, but it's not really worth the trouble unless your job is reinstalling kicked out door trim in condos.
(It's easier and faster to use an old fashioned acoustic nailer...

My uncle referred to those a digital hammers because every time he used one, be busted a digit...

He was not good with this hands.

I'll let that stew...
Yeah, no. I'm not gonna tear up a 53 year old concrete foundation to re-route a couple of return vents.

Stewed.

The design flaw in the entertainment center is its hodge-podge of 6 wood species. The challenge (from Mrs. guy) was to use what was in the shop and not buy any new stock.
Did buy some ply for the shelves and drawer carcass, so I won.

I’m fine with the mixed wood species, but I’ll never be able to un-see that off-center vent. Probably won’t sleep tonight. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
