Mixing wood species is fine, providing they match. And if they don't, there's paint.

You could shorten one end of the vent to make it symmetrical. I mean you've covered it up so your obviously not concerned about it's effectiveness.

Padauk, red oak, poplar (hidden in back), cherry, maple and walnut? Painted?
Too much! Oiled.

There's plenty of room behind there.

I live in a house and neighbourhood build in the mid-late 50's...the slightly raised bungalow is king and to this day painted cedar siding is prevalent. the dominant archictectural effect is the rectangle, longer than tall with a roughly centered main entry. People build wooden decks off the entry but its high enough they neEd to build railing and in fact sometimes enclose the space rail high...YOU HAVE JUST BUILT A FUKING CRATE ONTO THE FRONT OF YOUR FUKING HOUSE...FUCK THE FUCK RIGHT THE FUCK OFF!!

I bought a Jet 18 in bandsaw about 25 years ago. I later replaced the factory tires with urethane tires. Both the factory and replacements were crowned.

So when I had to replace the urethane tires recently I just ordered new ones, believing they will be crowned. Cut I thought the crown was a must.

Well, the new ones arrived flat. After doing some research I find crowned tires aren't a must. Learned something new.

With crowned tires your blade should track in the center of the tire. with flat tires your blade should track towards the front, with the saw teeth hanging over the edge.

In other words, don't have the teeth on the tire? That would put the teeth over the steel rim.

I haven't put the new ones on yet so I don't know if the flat tire will clear the rim in height.

On some saws there is a tilt adjustment for the top wheel. Get the tilt right and the blade tracks in the center of the tires. All the big metal cutting bandsaws I used had that feature.

Have to paint the wall again.
Are you out of the same paint you had used on the wall? Slather some more on those red marks.
You'll probably be the only one that notices any difference.

Oh, and then return that POS level.

Alternatively, paint the level the same color of whatever you are going to use it on, before every job.

It's a lot of work, but we are seeking perfect, oui?

It should. The idea of the crowned tire is that it doesn't affect the set of the teeth on one side. Same with the flat tire and having the teeth hang in front of the wheel.
Some say the crowned tire increases tension in the body of the blade, making it track better and there's less stress on the blade.
I've used both, and find no difference except that I find a crowned tire is easier to track.
