I know its totally off topic, and I only mention it here because of the countries most contributors on this forum are from. But...

US are starting Major League cricket this year (delayed from last(. First professional T20 league there.

This could be big. Could the yanks be about to join the civilised world?
Will this take over from them playing rounders?

Might be a while before they are ready for test cricket though

The success of this hinges off the ability to successfuly capture green card holding immigrants from the indian subcontinent for both player pool and audience.

It will never overtake baseball, as despite being a much crappier game, it is just too big to fail.

I has taken over half a century for soccer to catch on as a sport that has a real fan base. And that has millions of kids in the US playing it every year as they grew up.

I doubt Cricket in the US will be much more than a novelty sport for established international fans.

Pretty good, mate. Carpet and window shutters going in shortly. All I have to do now is figure out how to keep the bloody seagulls off my roof and shitting all over my bathroom skylight. I thought maybe the sight of me naked in the shower would scare them shitless and they'd bugger off - but that wouldn't actually help my immediate skylight problem! Other than that, all good. :)
