Trailer pad material

Time to replace the padding on fiberglass moulded trailer bunks. Looking for something better than carpet. Any recommendation? Search was no help. Hydroturf seems a bit thin and brittle for this application.

Read somewhere that old (as in discarded due to age, but still in decent shape) fire hoses were good for this. Try your local fire dept.

I've just put astroturf on my dinghy trolley... will see how it goes.

The real PITA always seems to be sand... gets in all the nooks and crannies!

I found a felt like material called, IIRC, ‘Boat Blanket.’

Yes - the 3M backing is the easiest and it sticks like flies on a turd

Hydroturf or Raptor , molded diamond cut so it drains and air as much as possible.

Yes - and cut it is 2 inch strips with an inch free between the strips to let bottom dry out easier
