Skippers have started to register for the upcoming Transat Jacques Vabre double-handed race starting on Sunday October 25, 2015. This race runs from Le Havre, France to Itajaí, Brazil. (5,400 miles).

The first Ultime class multihull registered is the Maxi80 Prince de Bretagne, and the highly skilled team of Lionel Lemonchois, and Roland Jourdain.

This should be an interesting race with the use of foils on the IMOCA class boats, and Sébastien Josse's modified MOD70, Edmond de Rothschild. Hopefully, Thomas Coville will do well with his new Sodebo which unfortunately, due to a collision, was not able to finish its first race.
