The problem only exists in the minds of those who do not believe everything having to do with LGBTQ is an abomination.
The fact is millions ( maybe billions) want to see all LBGTQ exterminated.
To the folks who believe their deity says very specific things about men, women, and sex exterminating those who fail to live by those standards must be stopped.

The usual blathering about gun control and mental issues will be mightily spewed for a few days but the fact is huge numbers of voters are disappointed the shooter “only got a few of them.”

We aren’t going to have much luck shutting down the sources of the anti ( whatever group) hate speech, websites, and etc because, for the people who run the government, those who think “God is on our side” represent a huge percentage of the voters needed to stay in office.

Notice we do not hear cries of “arm the bartenders and bouncers.” These are not people “everybody” wants to protect.

I agree. I think the easy access to hate media is far more responsible for the killings than the not so easy access to firearms is. To buy a gun, I have to jump through all kinds of hoops, show a photo ID, pay a fee on top of an already expensive item, wait hours if not days to be approved, etc.

OTOH, I can turn on or surf to FOX "news", OAN, alex jones, etc and get my head filled with lies, hate, and misinformation instantly and for free. I would submit to you that those misinformation sources likely killed, directly killed, hundreds of thousands of US citizens during the COVID pandemic. 5 dead trannies is a drop in the bucket compared to that.

Maybe we should instead put limits on that sort of hate media and require background checks, ID, training and insurance to be able to access that shit. If it saves just one dead child......

Just saying.

Is there a confirmed motive (hate crime instead of lover’s quarrel)? Is there evidence the murderer is a follower of the red hats or is this speculation and internet rumors? i admit I want to blame the haters, but haven’t seen reputable news.

Politico confirms a man with the same name was associated with a homemade bomb which should have been a flag against legal gun ownership. It also said the police have not confirmed it was the same person.

Try and remember what sex they are?
Transgender Day of Remembrance, which was stared over 20 years ago, is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.

For those who have lost trans loved ones or friends, or currently worry about the safety of trans loved ones or friends, “Try and remember what sex they are?” is a sadly outdated and callous attempt at humor and inappropriate.

But, there is a certain value of no thread police. No one here is going to stop you being dismissive of others remembrances.

I agree with what you said about the hate media,
Maybe we should go back to the days with news 3 times a day morning/noon/night
Not this made news that sells constant hate 24/7 of misinformation.
I think about the Tranny on the swim team, one case in thousands of swim teams and it's a national emergency.

It's vvv. He adds nothing of value and only serves to show there is no bottom.

Maybe you meant it this way in context, but “tranny“ is now considered a slur and offensive to many (I realize that you were responding to BM’s quote that also used it). Though there have been some, mostly failed, efforts to reclaim it, it is not neutral language.

Well back in the dark ages of the early/mid 70s there were "trannies" on swim teams all across the world. It's just like political sexual dalliances. It wasn't talked about. There was a "girl/woman" in my hometown that everyone knew was a boy, but she competed on the girls's swim team in high school, and went to the Olympics in..... 72?.... maybe 76, and won a bronze in the 400 meter something or other, but she also competed in the rowing competition.... 8s I think it was. She was at YALE at the time and rowed for them at the Henley Royal Regatta. Everyone knew she was born a male, but no one cared that she chose to live her life as a girl/woman. I am pretty sure that sometime in the 90s she had surgery to change her gender. I have no idea what the difference between surgery/hormone treatment then, compared with now is, but I imagine it's significant.
Until I moved out of that town a decade ago, I used to see her regularly at the food center. Her shoulders were as broad as even, her arms and legs stout like tree trunks, but she was who she was from a very young age. A woman.
